Haysi won the regular season in the BDD and moves on to the Region D tournament as the #1 seed from the BDD.

So the Region D tournament is next Saturday, the 8th, right? It's going to be JJ Kelly(#1) and Coeburn(#2) from the LPD and Haysi(#1) and Honaker (#2) from the BDD. Who's it going to be from the Cumberland? Does anybody know? It's pretty dead over there on the Cumberland District board.

Haven't heard anything from the CD, have you tried a post over on the Cumberland forum? if you find out anything, be sure to keep us updated.

I got to talking to someone the other day and I believe the #1 seed from the CD is Thomas Walker, and the #2 seed is Rye Cove. Dont hold me to this, but I believe they are correct.

Ok. I just was over on the Twin Springs HS site and it confirms it.

Cumberland District - #1 Thomas Walker, #2 Rye Cove

Black Diamond District - #1 Haysi, #2 Honaker

Lonesome Pine District - #1 JJ Kelly, #2 Coeburn

I'm pretty sure it is the Black Diamond District #1's turn to not have a bye in the first round.

Does anyone know how the pairings will go?

I know that the 2 BDD teams are looking pretty tough. It'd be nice to have an all BDD final. I'm not sure on the other districts, but I don't think the LPD has been at the buzzers for a while.

It truly is a toss up this year. Thomas Walker has a good shot to win it. When Haysi is on they are ON and Honaker is always fairly tough. I could also see J.J. Kelly winning it. I'm not really sure who will win but I do think Haysi and Thomas Walker are the best 2 teams. I need to see the pairings to make a real prediction.
